From July 2008 to August 2009, I taught an afterschool program at Jangji Elementary School in Seoul for students in grades one to five. Beginning with the basics of the English alphabet and phonics, to higher level reading, writing, music, and drama, I planned, taught, and reflected on language arts lessons for classes of up to 20 students. I also created assessment rubrics, tests, and reported evaluation results to students and parents.
